A Bookmark all about POPSICLES

Every summer, it inevitably happens that it gets so hot that the only thing I want to eat is popsicles. Rocket Pops, Creamsicles, Twin Pops, Strawberry Shortcake bars, Chocolate covered ice cream bars, Spicy Mango coconut pops, Fudgesicles, Creamies….they all sound like sensible dinner options while it’s 100 degrees outside. If that sounds about right for you too, maybe this Popsicle bookmark will pique your interest.

One of the imperative parts of summer for me growing up was that I always knew where my library card was and that I had a bookbag ready to go on all of my adventures. My library card was my passport to more traveling than I would ever do in a literal way and I loved the summertime because I had more time while out of school to be able to read whatever I wanted. Books came with me to the pool, visits to treehouses, family vacations, camping, and slumber parties. Nowadays, I still make it a point to always have a book with me. Laying a blanket on the grass outside and reading a few pages while eating a popsicle? Now that sounds like the perfect lazy summer afternoon to me. I hope you're enjoying some great summer reading and that this bookmark will add to the fun. It's beginner friendly and the options for color varieties are endless. I wanted this one to be one you won't need to purchase any special yarns for because the amounts used are small, making this a great stashbuster. Be creative! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

You can decide not to connect the Popsicles if you’d like also. They make great summer decorations or toys for imaginative play. More Popsicles available here as part of the Popsicle Party Garland Pattern.
