    Save the Bees, please

I haven’t done much of an introduction yet to introduce myself, so maybe this post will answer a few questions as to who I am and why I’m creating a blog. Writing and storytelling has proven to be therapeutic and adept at building a culture of understanding where readers can check their musings and thoughts with the authors and through this culture sometimes comes connection. In learning the housekeeping and technical side of blogging, I have neglected sharing many of the parts of myself that come together to make me. I promise, it will come. But to begin with an introduction, I’ll explain a bit about “Why a creativity Blog?”…

    Bloomers for Baby

The smell of baby powder and lotion. The natural inclination to speak in a whisper. The way everything is just so tiny. The coordinated outfits and blankets. The little sneezes and cuddles. How quickly your heart is completely stolen by a tiny little person. I can’t think of anything as magical as the birth of a new baby. These baby bloomers are a great addition the Little Ones new wardrobe whether you are nesting, hoping, last minute prepping or just adding one last thing to the collection of surprises for your baby, I hope this pattern makes the list and adds to the diaper-bum-cuteness overload. Mad for Plaid

Comfy and soft with stripes and checks nodding to colors found in nature. In a search for how to add a cozy element to my home this fall, plaid prints, with their calming colors and understated beauty, have held my attention. Maybe it’s the way that a light flannel layer is just right to warm up when evenings and mornings are starting to give hints about cooler temperatures ahead, or maybe it’s the variation of color palettes that complement autumn so well. It is timeless and seasonably versatile, but this Autumn, I am Mad for Plaid. Try it with colors of your choice. Plaid in pallettes that coordinate with your…

    A Bookmark all about POPSICLES

Every summer, it inevitably happens that it gets so hot that the only thing I want to eat is popsicles. Rocket Pops, Creamsicles, Twin Pops, Strawberry Shortcake bars, Chocolate covered ice cream bars, Spicy Mango coconut pops, Fudgesicles, Creamies….they all sound like sensible dinner options while it’s 100 degrees outside. If that sounds about right for you too, maybe this Popsicle bookmark will pique your interest. One of the imperative parts of summer for me growing up was that I always knew where my library card was and that I had a bookbag ready to go on all of my adventures. My library card was my passport to more traveling…

    Beignet Dreams Pin

This summer, I had the delightful experience of tasting my first Disney Beignet. Put me down as one of the ones dreaming about Beignets everyday forever now. They are such a delicious treat that I couldn’t help but make a crochet pin to wear while they are endlessly floating through my mind. Beignets buried in powdered sugar and dipped in berry sauce and chocolate, these are exquisite! No wonder you pronounce them “Bayn-YAYS!” I made mine with yarn embroidered “powdered sugar” and a Strawberry pin. Strawberry pattern here. I hope you’ll have fun making your pin and wearing it for your Disney inspired fashion. The best part about this pin…
