Last Supper Passover Charcuterie Board

Happy Easter to you! I hope that your celebration of this beautifully important day is full of Hope and Peace. Our household was such a bustle today. Years ago, when my kids were small, our family Easter celebrations revolved around teaching our kids about Jesus, agonizing over what to prepare for a beautiful family dinner, finding or making coordinating Easter clothes for the kids, and watching as the kids load their baskets with enormous amounts of booty from our epic family egg hunt.

Luckily, not much has changed. I can still talk the girls into wearing some matching dresses, we’re still excitedly planning what to make for an Easter feast, and even with our very big kids, the Egg hunt around the yard is still one of the things the kids love most all year.
In trying to keep a focus on the Holy aspects of Easter this year, a friend of mine mentioned that she was going to be serving a Passover dinner for her family. I loved the idea and started thinking of ways to incorporate it for my family’s Easter Dinner. I decided on a Passover Charcuterie board. Thinking of some of the most meaningful bible stories for me as I was coming up with what foods to add to my board brought an additional element that made the preparation special. To make a board similar to mine these were the ingredients I used.

Passover Charcuterie Board

Roasted Chicken Thighs(or you could use Lamb if you can find it)

Rosemary sourdough bread

Green and Red Grapes

Hard Cheeses

Dates or Figs

Assortment of nuts

I kept mine pretty basic but you could make it your own by adding ingredients that bring to mind your own favorite stories of the life of Jesus. Olive tapenade, Fish and bread loaves, unleavened bread, Olive oil, and vinegar all might be great ideas.

I hope you are enjoying a gorgeous Spring as flowers bloom and come back from their winter sleep.
Happy Easter!
